Featuring over 40 great bands and artists from 18 countries including South Korea, in seven Clarke Quay bars, clubs and Fountain Square, Music Matters Live with HP will take place between May 26th to 28th 2011.
All of the bands are in town for one reason; to be discovered by the music industry and new fans.
The Music Matters Live with HP music festival is the grand finale of the week that also includes the Music Matters and Digital Matters industry forums.
Music Matters Live with HP takes place in the following venues in Clarke Quay:
1) Arena
2) FC Indochine
3) Luna
4) 7 Inch
5) Yello Jello
6) Beer Market
7) The Main Stage in Fountain Square
Both bands from South Korea namely, Crying Nut and Aziatix will be performing at this festival!
Hailed as the pioneers of Korea’s punk rock scene, Crying Nut is a fast and furious fivesome who have slamdanced 15 minutes into 15 years of fame. Renowned for their rambunctious live shows, the raucous group have kicked and screamed their way out of Seoul’s underground most pits and onto the main stages of Asia’s top music festivals. Ever since their bold 1998 debutsold a smashing 100,000+ copies, Crying Nut have unabashedly party crash the K-Pop charts with 6 critically acclaimed albums that not only bagged them a bevy of industry awards and nominations but also bestowed upon them the distinction of being the best-selling Korean indie band of all-time.

Lunar – 28 May, 9.20PM
Aziatix, a Hip-Hop/Rap South Korean 3-man group consists of Flowsik who was born and raised in New York, has been working in the local underground hip hop scene since he was young, Eddie Shin who was born in in Boston and raised in Seoul, earned his wings via his self-produced 1st album “Just My Way” and is studying Recorded Music at NYU and the last member Nicky Lee, was born and raised in LA, made his debut in Korea in 1998 and has become the best vocalist in Taiwan with his own albums.

Music Matters Live is a FREE event so do pop by Clarke Quay any day from 26 to 28 May to give the bands your support!
(*Do note that there may be age restrictions as most of the venues are pubs/bars/clubs. You may need to present IC upon entrance*)
