110521 Rain “The Best 2011″ Concert Press Conference
World star Rain held his “The Best 2011″ Press Conference on Saturday afternoon at Marina Bay Sands Ballroom prior to his concert happening the next day. Rain greeted the media with smiles but became very serious when the press conference began. Thus showing how he strictly differentiates work and play.
With the last time he came to Singapore being in 2007, he is thrilled to be in Singapore once again. Not only does he miss his fans in Singapore, he also misses the crab dishes. With a green theme for each of the country he is touring, he wants to increase environmental awareness through the concert. In Singapore, the water conservation theme is chosen. With a water conservation theme for Singapore’s show, 1000 liters of water will be used for a particular rain scene during the concert which will last for about 2.5 minutes. After which, the 1000 liters of water will be used to water plants. Other than that, there are also specialized props and also a long runway to allow better interaction with the fans.
When asked how he felt as the first Korean artiste to win an award at the MTV Music Awards, he mentioned that he felt very thankful to all his fans who gave him all their support. He hopes that they will continue to support him in his future works which, as mentioned by him, would include an album focused more on the Asian market as well as an upcoming movie production.
With approximately 200 pieces of costumes, Rain will perform over 20 songs during his concert on the 22nd of May. Discussing with his stylists on the various costumes, there is nothing particular he would not wear and thus would hope that his fans will understand when he wears too little clothes.
Other than that, PUB’s mascot Water Wally also made a special appearance, making the atmosphere of the mood a lot lighter. Water Wally also presented a Certificate of appreciation for Rain’s action of promoting water sustainability.

For fans who have not purchased their tickets, wait no longer! With special guests Jackie Chan and 2pm in the seats, you’ll never know what will happen. Rain’s “The Best 2011″ Concert is having a One for one promotion for the $168 & $238 tickets. This will most probably be Rain’s last concert before he leaves for the army so be sure not to miss it!
