Taking place one day before the concert was KIMCHI (Korean Idols Music Concert Held in Indonesia) press conference. With an impressive line up of Girls Day, X5, DGNA, Park Jung Min & Super Junior, the press conference was held at The Sultan Hotel. As Super Junior was on a tight schedule, they were unable to attend the press conference on the day. Nevertheless, we managed to meet the rest of the groups.

Starting the press conference with Park Jung Min, he lightened up the atmosphere of the entire press conference greatly with his usual cheerful self and bright attire. When asked about his “Not Alone” album promotions, he stated that he is very thankful to his fans all over Asia for their support and that his album did well because of all his fans. Fans of Park Jung Min take note! He mentioned that there are plans for his Japanese album to be released in summer and a Korean album to be released next year or so. Being versatile with his languages, he never failed to show off some of his language skills by speaking a little Bahasa here and there.

Girls Day was next and they were dressed in their stage costumes. Personally not a fan of their revealing clothes, but their bright and jumpy personalities covered up the flaws for them. Not only that, they were constantly posing for the media so do check out some of our photos over at our facebook page later! Promising to present a cute side to everyone during the concert as they were the only female group in the line up, they definitely did not disappoint the crowd during the concert. As there are many girl groups in Korea, they were asked who do they look up to and they replied S.E.S and FinKL as they are popular groups in Korea and thus they look up to them very much.

Next up was DGNA who greeted the media with wide smiles. If they had more time during the trip they mentioned that they would like to visit more tourists attractions as it was their first time over at Indonesia. More onto the concert, they mentioned that they will be performing their Korean songs at KIMCHI. They also mentioned that they are currently doing promotions in Japan but will be working hard with a come back in Korea soon and would love to promote in other countries. Differentiating themselves from the boy bands in Korea with their distinctive voices, we were not disappointed in their live performances at the concert. It was an open secret about Karam, also know as mini Jaejoong, that he was an avid fan of DBSK’s Yunho. Thus when a reporter asked him how much he liked Yunho, Karam said that he actually admired DBSK’s Yunho since he was young and that DBSK’s Yunho is a senior he really looks up to. Other than that, Karam also added that watching DBSK’s Yunho on stage motivates him to work harder as an artiste.

Last group of artiste we got to meet for the night was DGNA’s junior, X5. Known for their height and model like figures, it was amazing getting to meet them. Before going to Indonesia, they did not feel that they will be so well received by overseas fans and are thus very touched and grateful to the fans and will work even harder for them. Another hot topic about this group was that one of their members Haewon was able to speak 5 languages, when requested to speak in one of the languages, spontaneously agreed and spoke in Russian. (Watch the video below! ) Other than the usual activities, the members were also asked on their hobbies. To which, each member had a different answer. Jin likes reading books, listening to music and going to the movies. Haewon likes listening to music and cooking. Ghun practices Taekwondo & Kungfu. Taefung said that he used to have a dream of becoming a footballer and aside from that, he like playing the guitar and listening to music. Last but not least, Sulhu mentioned that he enjoys listening to music and watching movies. They also mentioned that they have been practicing their MC skills and hope to show all their fans another side of them in the near future.
