110930 Miss A Press Conference
Back in Singapore for the third time, Miss A held their fan sign session on the 29th at City Square Mall as well as their first showcase and Max Pavillion. Prior to the showcase in the evening, a Press Conference was held at Hard Rock Hotel in the morning of the 30th.
Made up of 4 members, Miss A consisted of Suzy, Min, Fei and Jia. The media was greeted with the girls’ bright personalities and sweet smiles during the press conference. After a short introduction of each members, host of the day Ah Ken from Radio 100.3fm, started the press conference with regards to Miss A’s dinner the night before in which Jia replied that they had Korean Cuisine as family members of Min and Suzy came together with them to show support for Miss A. Having been to Singapore more than once, Min mentioned that Chilli Crab was one of the Singapore dishes that Miss A know of and would like to try it again during this visit.
Miss A’s first full length album “A Class” has a pair of legs as the album cover, to which they were asked who the legs belonged to. Jia replied “The pair of legs does not belong to any of the members. It is a design that we have adopted for all our albums since debut.” During the press conference, Min and Suzy put in a lot of effort to speak in Mandarin to have more interactions with media. They also mentioned that they have been learning Mandarin from Fei and Jia. They also take up Mandarin lessons occasionally.
Mykplayground managed to ask Miss A which song they personally prefer other than the title track “Good Bye Baby”. Jia likes “Mr Johnny” as she performed the rap in English with guidance from Min on the pronouncation. Min likes “Love Alone” as this song helps them to interact with more overseas fans as it was sang in English. Fei likes the song “One to Ten” from the album despite its sad lyrics as it has a catchy rhythm. Suzy likes the song “Help Me” as she feel that they always have a strong stage appearance but this song portrays the feminine side of Miss A.
Miss A also shared that their most memorable experience since debut was the first award they won for themselves. They felt that they gained recognition from everyone through their music especially when they won the Song of the Year for their debut song “Bad Girl Good Girl” through MAMA 2010. Miss A also mentioned that they do not have any fear and worries for their showcase later in the evening as they are well prepared for it and cannot wait to meet the fans.
