CJ Bibigo

Located conveniently at Raffles City, Bibigo is a Korean restaurant which serves nutritious and well-balanced Korean dishes using fine- quality ingredient. As their slogan goes, “Bibigo serves fresh and healthy Korean cuisine to our patrons all over the world as part of Korean food globalization project by CJ”. Dishes from their menu all come with healthy and traditional side dishes, like the fresh lettuce which you do not see on the regular menus as well as the standard fermented kimchi, the must have for all Korean dishes.
As many of you would have remembered, Siwon, Sungmin and Eunhyuk of Super Junior have made their way to the restaurant as well during their previous stay in Singapore for Mnet Asian Music Awards as it was seen on Siwon’s twitter, creating quite a commotion that security guards were deployed to get the 3 of them out safely. Other than that, Dynamic Duo and Simon D also enjoyed their meal at this particular restaurant during their stay. During the Press Conference as you may recall, Super Junior was asked on their trip to the restaurant and they mentioned that they were craving for some authentic Korean Cuisine and thus made the trip down to the official sponsor for their meal.
During our visit, we managed to try a main dish as well as one of their Bibimbap dish, with compliments from CJ Bibigo. The atmosphere at Bibigo was slightly quiet with the occasional sound of dishes and cutlery and some soft background music. A recommended place for some catching up with friends or even to kill some time alone, the restaurant is slightly dimmed, with a comfortable distance between the guests next to you.
Not only are you able to choose which way you want your Bibimbap, with the choices of regular bibimbap, hot stone and their unique Bibigo rice, you are able to choose what are the ingredients you want in your dish. With 4 types of healthy grains, 5 types of toppings as well as 4 types of sauces, you are able to piece together your set of bibimbap according to your preferences.
As for main dishes, there is a wide variety of them from the simple yet healthy Tofu Kimchi to Braised Short Ribs, each dish with their own unique cooking methods. When we browsed through the menu, Boiled Pork Slices was an interesting dish as compared to the usual Samgyupsal you usually have when you go for Korean BBQ. Each dish is healthy in its own way. There is no need to worry that you will end up smelling like BBQ after you’re done with your meal, all the char-grilled dishes have been grilled before-hand for you with a small fire keeping the dish warm as you enjoy the dish.

As the saying goes, your eyes feast before you, each dish’s ingredient placement and colour coordination definitely gets your stomach rumbling!

Aside to that, everyone who attended Mnet Asian Music Awards at the Singapore Indoor Stadium must have seen CJ Bibigo’s booth. While fans waiting to take photos with the CJ Promoter’s standees, every one managed to get a share of CJ Bibigo’s brownies. A total of 10,000 brownies were given out that day! Bibigo, as a sponsor of MAMA 2011, has provided K-pop artists and their staff with healthy meals and snacks during the awards show.

So if you have yet to try out the dishes, what are you waiting for?
