When teenage girls went on ‘an online war’ for Super Show 4 tickets many questioned the thoughts that ran through these fans. Thinking back about the concert, I can safely say it was well, very worth it especially if you were a fan of international idol group Super Junior. With the total production cost going up to SGD2 million and over 250 crew hired for the production of Super Show 4, a total of 11,000 tickets for both shows were wiped out over one weekend with many wanting more.

With a powerful stance, 9 member Super Junior began their 4 hour long concert with Superman, Opera, A Man In Love, a rock version of Bonamana and You’re My Endless Love before they were joined by f(x)’s Sulli & Amber for a special stage of Opps.

Continuing with one of the tracks, Wonder Boy, from their movie “Attack of the Pin Up Boys” and Rokkugo from their sub-group, Super Junior-T, the fans were fully hyped up and singing along as the members put up their best performance on stage. Slowing things down with Walkin’, the members changed into a set of casual outfits as they took turns to appear in midair whilst cycling, flying or taking a mini airplane across the stage.

Moving on to the solo stages, Henry, Kyuhyun & Leeteuk performed with various instruments including guitar, keyboard, violin, harmonica, saxophone and piano as they sang to soothing tunes including Lighters, Isn’t She Lovely and She. Ryeowook, Eunhyuk and Sungmin charmed the crowd with their dance routines out of their usual styles. During Eunhyuk’s performance of Self Liminous Bejewled Handsome Guy Lee Hyuk Jae, he began by telling the fans whose name he wants them to scream, which included Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp & Choi Si Won, when he asked “What’s my name?” To which no matter what country Eunhyuk is in, the only reply he would get is “Lee Hyuk Jae”, causing much laughter amongst the fans. And of course how could we miss out one of the special performances for Singapore, Shindong with Bubble Pop and Troublemaker, which drove the fans in the stadium crazy as they screamed and cheered through his wonderful performance.

Gathering everyone back on stage in their individual parody costumes, Super Junior performed to Good Friends, Pajama Party and Feels Good before sub-group Super Junior M took the stage with their charismatic performance of Perfection. Keeping up the tempo, they continued to mesmerize with their hit promotional tracks A-cha, Mr Simple and Don’t Don.

During the 2nd section of their solo stages, Zhoumi, Siwon and Yesung melted the hearts of many with their beautiful serenades of Because of You, Your Grace is Enough and A Man. Donghae started off his solo stage with a track from Skip Beat, a drama which he starred in, before he was join with Eunhyuk for a highly anticipated stage of Oppa Oppa.

Slowing things down with Storm, leader Leeteuk found his “Singapore Girlfriend” amidst the fans who turned out to be a Japanese fan who flew over to catch their concert. While singing to You&I, Lovely Day and Our Love, the members ran around the specially designed stage taking photos with fans and greeting the fans seated at every corner of the stadium. Appearing on stage once again after a change of outfit, an interesting parody stage from Song of the Music, DoReMi which filled with the group’s playful actions was put up on stage followed by White Christmas and Dancing Out. Ending off for the night after cheers for an encore stage, Super Junior went back to their charismatic selves as they ended the concert on a high note with Sorry Sorry, Miracle and Destiny.
